Jay Acovone (born August 20, 1955) is an American actor who was born in Mahopac, New York as the son of a dry-cleaning business owners.[1]

Career

Acovone starred in various movies during the 2000s and also appeared in several television series including Beauty and the Beast and Hollywood Beat. He also appeared as Charles Kawalsky in season 1, 2, 3 and 8 of Stargate SG-1. He can be seen playing the officer pulling over the TX Terminator in Terminator 3.

He appeared in Criminal Minds, guest-starring as Detective Morrison of the Palm Beach Police Department who enlists the BAU's help in capturing a bomber in the episode, Won't Get Fooled Again. He also appeared in an episode of Friends.

Jay guest starred in an episode of Sliders in season three called "Sole Survivors."

Jay played Skip Lee in the film Cruising (1980).

In Independence Day, he played a guard who at first denies Will Smith's character entrance to Area 51.
